ADATA has announced the launch of its newest Premier Pro SP310 mSATA SSD that targets consumers who are looking for a cost-effective upgrade to SATA 6Gbps. It also has support for Intel's Smart Response Technology (SRT), allowing it to be used as a cache drive.
Specification wise, the new ADATA Premier Pro SP310 offers read and write speeds of up to 410 MB/s and 180 MB/s respectively, while the maximum 4K random write is up to 45,000 IOPS. To be available in capacities of 32, 64 and 128GB, the new SP310 can be used as a primary drive or in a hybrid configuration as a cache drive for the traditional HDD thanks to its support for Intel's Smart Response Technology (SRT).
Based on JMicron JMF667 series controller, the Premier Pro SP310 supports S.M.A.R.T and NCQ command sets as well as TRIM. It is backed by a 3-year warranty.
Unfortunately, ADATA did not announce any details regarding the actual availability date or the precise price but a quick check at our favorite price search engine shows it listed at around €40, €60 and €100 for 32, 64 and 128GB versions.
