As the Computex 2015 show in Taipei is quite an important event for the industry, OCZ Storage Solutions certainly did not want to miss it, showing off some rather interesting new solid state drives, including the new Trine 100 entry-level SSD as well as new enterprise SDDs.

To be available this summer, OCZ's new Trion 100 SSD is based on Toshiba's Alishan SSD controller paired up with Toshiba A19 Triple-Level Cell (TLC) NAND flash and should offer superior balance of performance, reliability and value, according to OCZ. To be precise, Trion 100 SSD is OCZ's way to create a competitive and affordable upgrade solution for any notebook or desktop PC.

It is based on the standard 2.5-inch form-factor with SATA 6Gbps interface and will offer sequential performance of up to 550MB/s with up to 91,000 IOPS 4K random performance. It will be available in 120, 240, 480 and 960GB capacities and will be backed by a 3-year OCZ Shield warranty. Unfortunately, OCZ did not talk about the price yet.

The OCZ XD-JX M.2 NVMe SSD is aimed at enterprise applications. It is based on the M.2 form-factor (22x110mm) and features NVMe 1.1b Gen. 3 x4 PCI-Express interface. Based on OZC's proprietary JetExpress controller and next-generation Toshiba eMLC NAND, the XD-JX M.2 NVMe SSD will offer sequential performance of up to 1600MB/s with up to 300,000 IOPS 4K random performance.

To be available in 240, 480 and 960GB capacities, the XD-JX will also feature Power Loss Protection (PLP) and 2DWPD (Diskful Writes Per Day) for five years endurance rating. Unfortunately, OCZ did not reveal any details regarding the price or the availability date.

OCZ also brought two recently announced enterprise-class SSDs, including the Intrepid 3000 series SATA-interface based SSD and the new Z-Drive 6000/6300 series SSDs. The Intrepid 3000 series is based on Marvell's 88SS9187 controller with OCZ Enterprise Firmware paired up with Toshiba's eMLC NAND and uses standard 2.5-inch form-factor. It will be available in 240GB to 2TB capacities for the Intrepid 3700 series and in 100GB to 800GB for the Intrepid 3800 series, with both featuring Power Loss Protection (PLP) and up to 540MB/s sequential and 90,000 IOPS random performance.

The recently announced Z-Drive 6000/6300 series SSDs are definitely the most interesting SSDs in OCZ's enterprise offer. Based on NVMe 1.1b Gen 3 x4 PCI-Express interface and 2.5-inch form-factor with hot-plug SFF-8639 single port, the Z-Drive 6000 series will be available in 800GB, 1.6TB and 3.2TB capacities. It is based on Toshiba's MLC NAND and has Power Loss Protection (PLP), 1DWPD for 5 years endurance rating and provides up to 2900MB/s of sequential performance with 700,000 IOPS of random 4K performance.

The Z-Drive 6300 series is quite similar with the same NVMe 1.1b Gen. 3 x4 PCI-Express interface but comes in a different half-height, half-length (HHHL) add-in card (AIC) form-factor. It will also be available in 2.5-inch 15mm SFF form-factor as well. The Z-Drive 6300 series is available in 800GB, 1.6TB, 3.2TB and 6.4TB capacities, is based on Toshiba's eMLC NAND and features 3DWPD for 5 years endurance rating, Power Loss Protection (PLP) and the same 2900MB/s / 700,000 IOPS sequential and random performance.

Some of these new enterprise SSDs, including the Intrepid 3000 and the Z-Drive 6000/6300 are already available to OCZ's enterprise customers.
