Nokia about to release a phablet

The former maker of rubber boots, Nokia is about to release a phablet device. According to Nokia Conversations the devise will be announced tomorrow morning.

Rumoured to be called the Lumia 625 it will have a 4.7-inch LCD display with 800x480p resolution and pixel density of 201ppi. It will run on Windows Phone 8 operating system and have a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, under the bonnet and 512MB RAM Lumia 625 is expected to have a 5MP camera with LED flash on the back, but no front unit.

There will be 8GB internal storage and microSD support of up to 64GB. Connectivity options of the phone include 2G, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. It will be powered by 2,000mAh battery and Phablets are supposed to be a halfway house between smartphones and tablets. The Sony Xperia Z Ultra handset features a whopping 6.4 inch screen, whilst Samsung's Galaxy Mega 5.8's display measures 5.8 inches both have done rather well.

Nokia's latest smartphone the Lumia 1020 was released two weeks ago to mixed reactions, spelling bad news for the already troubled company.
