The Meizu MX4 Pro is now official. Meizu’s flagship was launched yesterday and the rumours were true – the phone has a truly impressive spec.
Unlike the plain MX4, the Pro version is powered by a big.LITTLE Samsung Exynos 5430 SoC with four A15 cores and four A7 cores. The company said the chip is 20% more efficient than the Mediatek chip used in the original MX4. This could be explained by the fact that the Samsung chip is a 20nm design. The Mali T628 MP6 GPU is clocked at 600MHz.
The MX4 Pro packs a 5.5-inch 2560x1536 screen, which the company describes as a 2K+ panel. The screen is also said to be more efficient, consuming just 5% more power than the 1920x1200 panel used on the MX4.
The phone measures 150mm x 77mm x 9mm and weighs 158g. It also boasts a 20.7-megapixel Sony Exmor RS camera, 3GB of LPDDR3 memory and “studio quality” audio components, which the company markets as ‘Retina Sound’. A 3350mAh battery keeps the show running and battery life shouldn't be an issue.
