Snapdragon 615 for €379 in August

LG just announced its LG G4S phone that comes with a 5.2 inch screen and Snapdragon 615 processor.

The LG G4S is the long lost cousin of the LG G4 family which has been dominated by the LG G4 phone with its Snapdragon 808 and gorgeous 2560 x 1440, 538ppi display.

This new phone has a 5.2 inch screen with a full HD IPS LCD (1920 x 1080, 423ppi). It has an 8 GB eMMC ROM and 1.5GB RAM, a Snapdragon 615 processor and an 8 megapixel camera.  The camera has a laser autofocus, manual mode, colour spectrum sensor and a 5 megapixel front camera.

It ships with a 2300 mAh exchangeable battery with tons of capacity and many will be happy to hear the phone comes with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box. It measures 142.7 x 72.6 x 9.85 mm and weighs 139.4 g.

Powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 815, the phone comes with LTE 150 Mbits, HSPA+ 42,2 Mbps with 3G. This is a Cat 4 modem, if anyone asks. The LG G4S comes with 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC and an A-GPS.

The LG G4S looks much like a flagship LG G4. It comes in metallic silver or a ceramic white but with a suggested retail price of €379.  It will be in the shops in August

It is not the cheapest phone, but the price will probably drop fast. The LG G4 has a suggested retail price of €649 and is selling for €500 to €550 depending on the colour.
