The teaser, posted on Sony's Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram profiles, does not show much and leaves a lot to the imagination, with some sites even suggesting that it could come with either a curved back or even a curved screen.

We already heard that Sony scrapped the design of its smartphone at the last minute, requesting the FCC to dismiss its earlier grants due to the "design change". While this might not leave a lot of time for Sony to make any major changes to its flagship, it might have a backup plan in motion.

Earlier rumors suggest that the company could unveil the Xperia XZ Pro, with 18:9 OLED display and slim bezels or unveil the successor to the Xperia XZ1.

In any case, Sony's MWC 2018 event is less than a week away and it will certainly be one of the more exciting events at the show.
