The new charging technology was demonstrated in a video published on Redmi's Weibo account, and caught by Playfuldroid.com, giving a bit more details about the actual technology and the charger itself. It was apparently demonstrated on a modified Redmi Note 12 Pro+ smartphone with a 4,100mAh battery.
The video shows that charging never hits the theoretical 300W maximum and just barely reaches 290W for a few seconds, and drops back down. Nevertheless, it took just two minutes to get it to 50 percent, and just under five minutes to get it full. You can check out the video over at the Redmi Weibo account.
The charging adapter apparently uses Double GaN technology with more than 50 safety protections.
Unfortunately, we did not get any information on when such charging technology will be implemented, but hopefully, we'll see it pretty soon, as these are some impressive charging speeds.
