Samsung’s foldable phones leaked

by on01 July 2024

Two weeks away from launch

With less than two weeks until Samsung's July 10 Unpacked event, leaked images of two new foldable devices—the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6—have surfaced.

Leaker Evan Blass shared rendered images on social media and his Substack newsletter. Additional photos on the WinFuture website reveal more colours of these anticipated devices, which are set to be unveiled in Paris.

The Fold 6 flaunts shades of pink, dark navy blue, and silver—meanwhile, the Flip 6 struts its stuff in silver, green, light blue, and yellow.

While design changes for the Flip 6 are minimal, it's likely to feature a new processor—the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3—to match the Galaxy S flagship. Expect multiple variants, along with a larger battery and upgraded camera.

The Fold 6 could boast a larger cover screen and a design closer to the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Although a variant version may be released, camera upgrades remain uncertain.

In the past, Samsung has reigned supreme in the foldable phone market, mainly because few have ventured into that area. However, it faces competition from Google's Pixel Fold, the OnePlus Open, and the Motorola Razr.

Samsung has tantalisingly hinted that both new phones will come equipped with exciting artificial intelligence features.
