OnePlus kept the design pretty much the same as the predecessor, with the same 6.82-inch size screen but with a 2.5D quad-curve, and plenty of other improvements all across the board. Despite coming with the same size screen, the new OnePlus 13 is slightly smaller as well as thinner compared to the predecessor, measuring 162.9x76.5.8.5-8.9mm and weighing 210g, a good 10g less. OnePlus also included IP68/IP69 protection and this time you can also opt-in for a "silicone polymer back", in addition to the glass one.
The 6.82-inch screen is BOE's flagship 8T LTPO OLED panel with 1440p resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, typical brightness of 800nits and maximum brightness of 4,500nits, and usual Dolby Vision and HDR support. OnePlus also switched up from Gorilla Glass Victus 2 to Crystal Shield.
The heart of the OnePlus 13 is Qualcomm's latest flagship 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite octa-core SoC with two Oryon Prime cores clocked at 4.32GHz and six Oryon Performance cores at 3.53GHz. The SoC also gets the new Adreno GPU promising up to 40 percent improvement, and the new Hexagon NPU with a 45 percent improvement.
When it comes camera system, the OnePlus 13 comes with a triple-sensor rear camera with Hasselblad-branded 50MP sensors. The main one features a Sony LYT-808 sensor with OIS, behind a 23mm lens, and it is backed up by a LYT-600 sensor behind 3x periscope 73mm lens and S5KJN5 sensor behind 15mm ultrawide/macro lens. The front camera is still a 32MP one behind 21mm wide lens. The main camera has Hasselblad Color calibration.
Other notable improvements for the OnePlus 13 include a larger 6,000mAh Si/C battery, with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, new vibration motor that promises "gaming controller level of feedback", and Android 15 with OxygenOS 15 for the international and ColorOS 15 for Chinese market.
Unfortunately, the OnePlus 13 is first launching in China and should be available as of today, November 1st, with the price starting at CNY 4,499 (around $630) for the base 12/256GB version. The 24GB RAM/1TB version will be priced at CNY 5,999 (around $840). There are also 12GB/512GB, and 16GB/512GB versions. The global availability will be detailed at a later date, so hopefully we'll hear from OnePlus soon.
