Phenom X4 will surface at 2.2, 2.3GHz and 2.4GHz and all the faster iterations are still a big question mark for 2007.

The 2.2GHz is branded as Phenom X4 9500, while the 2.3GHz will be branded as Phenom X4 9600, and Phenom X4 9700 is currently the fastest that we've seen listed, and it will work at 2.4 GHz. The 9500 and 9600 should be out in the next two weeks and probably at least a few 9700s will be out.

AMD is struggling to launch 2.6GHz this year.  The original plan was to launch the 2.8GHz this year, and 3.0GHz early next year, but obviously the chances that the company can meet this schedule are very slim.

Intel will have 2.5 and 2.6GHz Quad core Penryn with which to fight AMD in the US$200 to $300 price range, so it will be tough.
