T9600 and P8700

Intel is playing its confuse-the-hell-out-of-the consumer game and it has variety of similarly spec'd products, especially for mobile computers.

Since Intel just launched T9900, the first mobile Core 2 over 3GHz, and priced it at saucy $530, it also adjusted the prices of T9600 that also has 6MB L2 cache FSB 1066MHz and works a slightly slower 2.8GHz clock. This CPU use to cost $530 in May and as of June it dropped to $316 and hopefully notebooks based on this CPU will got cheaper.

Another CPU that got cheaper is P8700, another Core 2 Duo with 2.53GHz core clock, and FSB 1066 support and this 3MB L2 cache CPU dropped from $241 to $209. Other prices haven’t changed at all, but we have a feeling that there will be a big chance in August / September timeframe, when Intel finally release its Calpella based platform.
