Will work quite well with MSI OC Genie

During
its pre-computex event, MSI had a nice little presentation about its OC Genie, automatic overclocking feature. In addition to outlaying some quite interesting features regarding its OC Genie, MSI has also pretty much confirmed Intel's plans to launch K-series CPUs with unlocked multiplier. According to our info these parts should be launched by the end of May.

Intel will launch Core i7-875K and the Core i5 655K CPUs and these will have an unlocked multiplier. As it is quite proud of its automatic overclocking OC Genie feature, MSI was quite keen to announce that with an unlocked multiplier its OC Genie can offer up to 400% more performance when these are overclocked. We are not sure which of the two CPUs MSI is referring to, but it still sounds pretty impressive.

Both the Core i7-875K and the Core i5-655K are pretty much the same as the Core i7 870 and the Core i5 650 except for the unlocked multiplier. Of course, you can expect these to be a bit more expensive than its locked brethren but it would be pretty interesting to see how far can these two overclock and are they really worth all the extra cash.
