IDF 2007: Up and running

Intel went step forward and showed the dual socket Nehalem machine with two quad cores that are three weeks old. The CPUs looks like they are in great shape and they run XP just fine, even some 3D stuff.

Dual quad cores can produce as much as 16 threads and this is what Intel wanted to make its noise about. This comes in second half of 2008 but it can be demonstrated even today.

This is how it looks like.
