FM2 Trinity parts to launch launch in Q4
Desktop that is
No matter whether you are talking about Trinity in A10, A8, A6 or Athlon II X4 version, it looks like they will all show up in Q4 2012.
We expected to see them in Q3 2012, but for some reason AMD had to push desktop Trinity back one more quarter. It is also interesting that A4 won’t be getting any Trinity love even in Q4 2012 and that existing AMD A4 3400, 3300 and possibly a new FM1 SKU will have to hold the ground until Trinity A4 gets ready for prime time.
AMD sees A10 and A8 FM2 as a direct competitors to Core i3 products from Intel and A10 sort of passes as a competitor to some Core i5’s, but we are sure that price wise AMD will definitely win this fight.
You should expect to see Trinity FM2 boards and processors showing up in October, in case the current schedule is not changed again.
