Intel has quietly added a new Atom D2560 SKU to its price list and we are sure that we'll see this one bundled with some cheap mini or micro-ITX motherboards pretty soon.

As you probably remember, Intel's desktop Atom lineup included the originally released Atom D2500 and D2700 which were later joined by the D2550 SKU. The fastest Atom D2700 was surprisingly EOL-ed back in May, as it is now clear that Intel was simply making way for the D2560 SKU.

Specs wise, the Atom D2560 is a 32nm dual-core clocked at 2GHz (133MHz slower than the D2700), has 1MB of L2 cache and supports Intel Hyper-Threading.

Although there are no precise specifications or details regarding this new SKU, since it did not show up in Intel's product database, at least we can see its price, which is, by the way, set at US $47 and identical to the already available D2550 SKU.
