Three new Kabinis show up

Clock bumps, new E-series quad

AMD is adding a few more parts to its ever growing Kabini line-up.

The A4-5100 and E1-2200 are simple clock bumps. The at 1.55GHz the 5100 is 50MHz faster than the A4-5000 but the rest of the spec is unchanged – four cores, HD 8330 graphics clocked at 500MHz.

The E1-2200 is more of the same, it’s basically an E2100 clocked at 1.05GHz instead of 1GHz. It’s a 9W dual-core with 1MB of L2 cache and HD 8210 graphics.

However, the E2-3800 appears to be an entirely new part. It’s a 1.3GHz quad-core with 2MB of cache and HD 8280 graphics clocked at 450MHz. The TDP is 15W and judging by the spec this is probably the cheapest Jaguar quad-core part to date. It sounds like a nice part for cheap nettops.

The new parts are already listed on AMD’s product page and it’s safe to assume that OEMs are already playing with them.
