Coming with Wraith Max cooler

AMD launched its flagship Ryzen 7 SKUs as WOF (without fan-heatsink) boxed packages but according to the latest report, it appears that boxed versions of those SKUs with Wraith Max cooler are coming soon.

According to a report from Computerbase.de, AMD will bundle the Ryzen 7 1700X and Ryzen 7 1800X with its largest Wraith Max cooler, a slightly larger version of the original Wraith cooler introduced with the FX-8370 CPU. With a TDP rating of up to 140W, the Wraith Max should have no problem cooling down the 95W TDP Ryzen 7 1700X and the Ryzen 7 1800X, leaving enough room the XFR (eXtended Frequency Range) technology to kick in as well.

The Wraith Max cooler features a larger aluminum heatsink with a copper base and four heatpipes, cooled by a large fan with red LED ring on top of it.

According to the same source, the boxed versions of the Ryzen 7 1800X and Ryzen 7 1700X SKUs with Wraith Max cooler should not be that much more expensive than the standard WOF versions, coming at a €40-50 premium.
