Intel Z390 chipset motherboard spotted in SiSoft Sandra

by on15 November 2017

Couple of new features

The first motherboard based on Intel's upcoming Z390 has been spotted inside the SiSoft Sandra database, which suggests that its partners have already started testing these motherboards.

As the same SiSoft Sandra database was responsible for the leak of an upcoming Intel B360-based motherboard last month, it does not come as a surprise that the Z390-based motherboard showed up as well.

Originally spotted by Videocardz.com, the motherboard comes from SuperMicro, bearing the SuperMicro C7Z390-PGW model name, and it includes an unknown CPU, most likely something from Intel's 8th generation Core Cofee Lake-S lineup which was leaked earlier.

As noted, the earlier leaked Intel roadmap suggested that the Z390 chipset motherboards could launch in the second half of next year, but judging from these leaks, the launch could be moved forward to the first half.

According to earlier leaks, Intel's Z390 chipset is expected to bring several new features. Unfortunately, it is too early but we suspect that more details could be available at the CES 2018 show in January.
