Crucial shows up with Ballistix Tactical Tracer RGB DDR4 memory

Coming in 8GB and 16GB modules and up to 3,000MHz

Crucial has unveiled its latest Ballistix DDR4 memory modules and kits, which will offer RGB LEDs and come in module capacities of 8GB and 16GB with frequencies of up to 3,000MHz.

What makes Crucial's new Ballistix Tactical Tracer RGB DDR4 modules special is the 16 RGB LED strip organized into eight zones and an ability to 3D print a custom light bar for additional effects. The provided Ballistix M.O.D. Utility software allows temperature monitor and adjusting color schemes, brightness and patterns and modules are also compatible with Asus' Aura, MSI's Mystic Light, Gigabyte's Aorus Graphics Engine and other popular LED-controlling software.

The Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer RGB DDR4 memory will be available in 8GB and 16GB modules running at 2,666MHz with 16-18-18 latency and at 1.2V, and 8GB and 16GB modules running at 3,000MHz with the same 16-18-18 latency and at 1.35V. These will also available in various kits of up to 4x16GB (64GB).

Some of these new Ballistix Tactical Tracer DDR4 modules and kits are already available directly from Crucial at $109.99 for the 8GB DDR4-2666 module, up to $1,075.99 for the 64GB DDR4-3000 kit.
