Acer on July 19 announced that the best-selling PC-related products including notebook, desktop, LCD monitor during Amazon Prime Day were all devices from Acer. Amazon Prime Day is the internet giant's one-day global online shopping event exclusively for its Prime members beginning July 16 to end on July 18.

Acer said that more than 100 million merchandise items were sold during Amazon Prime Day, up 75 percent  from that of the same event a year ago. Acer cooperated with Amazon to offer 17 Prime Deals at the event with its Predator Helios 300 gaming notebook being the best seller of all gaming notebook models with thousands of units sold in four hours. Acer's Chromebook 11 was the best seller in the notebook category, while the Acer Aspire TC-780 was the best-selling desktop and the Acer G276HL the best-selling LCD monitors. Acer also noted that over one-third of Chromebook sales during the event were contributed by its products.

Acer pointed out that research firms state that it is the largest gaming notebook vendor in the US, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Peru in May 2018. Acer had a market share of 28 per cent  in the US, 46 per cent in Brazil, 27 percent  in Chile and 33 percent in Colombia.
