HWBOT.org database has listed three 2nd Ryzen Threadripper SKUs, including the Ryzen Threadripper 2950X, which should be a 16-core/32-thread SKU, Ryzen Threadripper 2970X, which should be a 24-core/48-thread SKU, and the flagship Ryzen Threadripper 2990X, a 32-core/64-thread SKU.
The HWBOT database does raise certain questions regarding the actual specification, including the TDP, which is set at 125W, 180W, and 250W, as well as the base clocks, which seem lower in some cases. It is worth to note that the XFR2 clocks are not listed in the HWBOT database.
Ryzen Threadripper 2990X - 32 core/64 thread, with base clock of 3.4GHz, 250W TDP
Ryzen Threadripper 2970X - 24 core/48 thread, with base clock of 3.5GHz, 180W TDP
Ryzen Threadripper 2950X - 16 core/32 thread, with base clock of 3.1GHz, 125W TDP
There are also rumors about the possible Ryzen Threadripper 2920X, which could be the 12-core/24-thread SKU but this one might come at a later date as it did not show up in the HWBOT database.
Videocardz.com spotted the flagship Ryzen Threadripper 2990X in a listing on Canadian e-tail shop, Canada Computers, for CAD $2399, which is about US $1850 and pretty much in line with the earlier listing at the European Cyberport.de retailer, where it showed up for €1509.
The AMD 2nd generation Ryzen Threadripper SKUs should launch soon and it will be interesting to see how much more performance did AMD managed to squeeze thanks to the new 12nm Zen+ architecture.
