Hitting 14.5GB/s and up to 4TB capacities

Gigabyte has unveiled its newest AORUS Gen5 14000 SSD, officially reaching 14GB/s sequential speeds and coming in up to 4TB capacities.

The newest AORUS Gen5 14000 SSD is Gigabyte's successor to the AORUS Gen5 12000 series and comes with Phison's 12nm PS5026-E26 Gen5 controller paired up with a 232-layer 3D TLC NAND. Although officially rated at 14GB/s sequential transfer speeds, different capacities hit different peak speeds, with the 2TB version peaking at 14.5GB/s read and 12.7GB/s write sequential performance. Of course, the 1TB version hits 13.6GB/s and 10.2GB/s, while the 4TB model peaks at 14.1GB/s and 12.6GB/s, respectively.

Gigabyte is giving the AORUS Gen5 14000 SSD a limited 5-year warranty, with an endurance rating of 3,000TB, 1,400TB, and 700TB TBW for 4TB, 2TB, and 1TB models. Unfortunately, Gigabyte did not reveal any price details but hopefully, it will show up in retail/e-tail pretty soon.
