According to Noctua, the new NH-D15 G2 has a redesigned asymmetrical fin-stack with eight heatpipes, that is tuned to work with the new NF-A14x25r G2 fans. Noctua claims that the G2 version is a true flagship model that keeps pushing the boundaries of air cooling and rivals the efficiency of many All-in-One (AiO) liquid cooling solutions.
In addition to new features, the NH-D15 G2 also offers enhanced compatibility thanks to the offset construction, gets the new Torx-based SecuFirm2+ multi-socket mounting system, as well as the new NT-H2 thermal compound. The NH-D15 comes backed by a 6-year warranty. The new NH-D15 G2 will come in the standard version, as well as two specialized versions, the HBC (High Base Convexity) variant and the LBC (Low Base Convexity) variant, specifically designed for LGA1700 CPUs that get deformed in long-term use, and flat CPUs like the AMD AM5, LGA2066 or others, respectively.
Noctua was keen to note that the new round-frame NF-A14x25r G2 fans will be available for those who like to upgrade its existing heatsink like the first-generation NH-D15, NH-D15S, or NH-U14S series coolers. It will be available as a single-fan package and as a dual-fan package for push-pull configuration. The square version of the NF-A1x25 G2 will be coming in September.
