But Intel wants higher yields

People are harrying Intel for being very late with 10nm which is true, but this does not mean that Intel couldn't ship the 10nm parts today. Intel has delayed the 10nm on purpose, as it wanted to get higher yields before it shifts to a smaller node.

8th Generation core to launch August 21

Intel has just announced an announcement. The company plans to show off its 8th Generation core on August 21 on Facebook live. But all this will be happening while the US is undergoing a total solar eclipse which is a portent of doom.
