Core Raptor Lake Refresh comes as i9-14900K, i7-14700K, i5-14600K

Intel has now officially launched its Core Raptor Lake Refresh desktop processors which will be known as the Intel Core 14th Gen series. Launching at the same price points as the 13th gen counterparts, the Core 14th gen promises up to 23 percent better gaming performance compared to the competition, and up to 54 percent better performance in creator workflows.

The world's first 4x4 NUC with 13th Gen Raptor Lake H series CPU

Simply NUC has announced the world's first 4x4 NUC powered by an Intel Core i9 CPU, the Simply NUC Onyx. The small mini PC comes with Intel's 13th gen Raptor Lake H series CPU and supports up to 96GB of DDR5 memory, and up to 16TB of storage.

Linux computer vendor System76 has said that it prefers to disable the Intel Management Engine wherever possible to reduce the amount of closed firmware running on System76 hardware.

The Ryzen 9 7945HX goes against Core i9-13950HX

AMD has announced the availability of its Ryzen 7045HX-series Dragon Range CPUs for high performance gaming laptops. These Zen 4 Dragon Range 5nm chiplet-design chips, should be enough to get ahead of Intel's 13th gen Raptor Lake counterparts, at least according to AMD.

Older generation more pricey 

Intel has raised the pricing of its 12th-gen Alder Lake processors in its online Ark product database which is rather strange as it is jacking up the price for older technology by ten per cent. 

A few weeks early 

Some details of Intel's 13th Generation Core 'Raptor Lake' processors have been leaked a few weeks before they were supposed to be revealed at CES, in 5 January. 

Core i9-13900KS faster than the existing flagship

Early benchmarks have revealed that the  much anticipated Core i9-13900KS is faster than the Core i9-13900K, the existing flagship Raptor Lake chip.

Core i9-13900KS could boost up to 6 GHz

Chipzilla is expected to launch locked Raptor Lake SKUs early next year and PC-Canada has gotten its paws on listings for locked Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, and Core i9 Raptor Lake chips. Amongst the listings is the Core i9-13900KS that is supposed to boost up to 6 GHz.
