Random people exposed as sex pests
In what must be many people's worst nightmare, a Welsh bloke appeared in court for getting the names, photographs and addresses of random people and naming and shaming them as paedophiles.

Rory Fyfe Smith, 31, of North Wales, was sentenced to a two-year community order after admitting seven counts of posting offensive material on the internet. Smith was also given a five-year anti-social behaviour order banning him from posting people's details or photographs on the internet without their permission.

During the hearing at Llandudno Magistrate's Court, Smith said sorry to the people who he outted but he did so because he heard abusive voices in his head and suffering from obsessive compulsive disorder. He thought everyone was insulting him and even thought people in aeroplanes were having a go. Since he started taking his tablets he realised that his victims had done nothing wrong.

An ambulance service first responder, school employees and students were among Smith's victims. He apparently used to take snaps of his victims without their permission while they were out in public in Llanrwst. He would also nick their Facebook pictures. The images were placed on blogs and YouTube with captions such as "child abuser".
