Foxconn has announced its first barebone based on AMD’s Fusion APU, which seems like a pretty nice replacement for dual-core Atom designs it offered thus far.
The NT-A3500 features AMD’s E-350 APU with HD 6310 graphics, neatly packed in Foxconn’s NT-series nettop chassis. It includes USB 3.0 support and can take up to 4GB of memory.
Foxconn claims that the new Fusion platform delivers twice the performance of previous Atom-based barebone, while consuming 6 watts of power less.
There is still no word on price or planned configurations, but Foxconn claims the NT-A3500 will be available in Europe from mid-May.
