Sony, Samsung and Robert Bosch have been named in a U.S. trade complaint filed by software outfit ObjectVideo.

ObjectVideo claims the companies violate its intellectual property rights and seeks to block imports of their video products, according to a notice posted on the US International Trade Commission’s website. If it wins it can get Sony, Samsung and Bosch products banned from being imported to the US.

ObjectVideo is a US outfit which makes software used in security, business intelligence and public safety. The lawsuit claims infringement of patents related to virtual tripwires, which can trigger notifications to the user of the software. The case is going to be held in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
