During Apple's iPad HD launch event in San Francisco, Northern California, company CEO Tim Cook announced a new 1080p-capable Apple TV settop box sporting a brand new iOS-like interface and the company's all-important iCloud integration.

The new settop box marks a noticeable departure from its predecessor mainly in its software changes. The new iOS-like interface now provides users with icons, apps and Cover Flow for navigating through music, video, pictures and online content libraries. Apple is bringing 1080p movie content to the iCloud, which will allow users to stream in compressed Full HD just like Netflix already provides.



The new Apple TV will be available for $99 starting on Friday, March 16th.
