A former Infosys manager from India who spent six years working in the United States on an H-1B visa said the company has an institutionalised pattern of discrimination against its American college graduates.

The former manager said Infosys's top management bought in the programme to hire a more culturally diverse work force.  But middle managers want no part of any such inclusiveness. The manager said that  he served on a panel that interviewed graduating college students in the United States as part of an ongoing recruitment drive initiated by “visionaries” among Infosys’s top brass.

But recruits would end up in India and not get used because Indian account managers were convinced that the Americans would be unable to conform to the Indian employment culture.
