IBM buys out InfoDyne
Software vendor of market trading data
IBM has announced that it has acquired InfoDyne Corporation, a privately held software maker whose software crunches market trading data sources and puts it into a standardized form for use in the trading industry. InfoDyne’s technology will be put under IBM’s WebSphere brand.
"This is really a big play for us in the low-latency space," said Tom Rosamilia, the General Manager of IBM WebSphere. "InfoDyne has been a leader in this space, both with its platform and connections to data feeds out there." InfoDyne’s software helps analyze real-time data and make buying and selling decisions.
The terms of the deal were not available, but this is IBM’s 69th corporate acquisition since 2003.
