Samsung reportedly jacks up Apple processor prices

A Korean daily is reporting that Samsung could be about to change its relationship with Apple, for the worse, of course.
Chosun Biz reports that Samsung has increased manufacturing prices for Apple SoCs by almost 20 percent. Apple was apparently forced to accept the new prices, as it lacks viable alternatives. There are other foundries out there, but it seems they can’t meet Apple’s needs for one reason or the other.
It is worth noting that Samsung provides many other key components for Apple’s iPhones and iPads, but it seems the price hike will only affect processors. Apple could easily wane itself off Samsung-made NAND and RAM, but with processors it is not as easy.
