Greeks stall Bohemian rhapsody

Mama mia let them go

The Greeks have let two developers, who they is still convinced must have been spying on the country's super elite armed forces, return to their Bohemian homes.

Ivan Buchta and Martin Pezlar have been freed on bail and are free to return home to the Czech Republic. The pair work for the computer game company Bohemia Interactive and were arrested after they were spotted at near a military base on the island of Lemnos. The Greeks claim that they were highly trained spies who wanted to discover the secrets of the glorious Greek Army which terrifies the world with its Hoplites.

The Greeks could not believe the excuse, that they were snapping scenes for their new computer game Arma III. After all logic has always been a problem for the Greek Army. It has previously arrested English plane spotters for photographing its top secret Corsair IIs at an airfoce base. The English were interested to see the museum pieces still flying.

Unfortunately the Czech Republic could not argue such a strong case for its citizens to be freed and Buchta and Pezlar have been jailed without trial for 128 days. This seems a bit harsh, it is not as if they said the phrase Macedonian Republic which tends to get the Greeks hot under the collar. Nor did they mention that the Turks are making some rather nice tanks which should give the Leopard 2s it has a run for their money. The fact that Greece has even these is a bit silly given the country is bankrupt and has not really got any enemies any more. (Well, apart from its creditors. Ed)

The pair, however, still face trial over the allegations which looks increasingly silly.
