At least this was not an issue because the consoles connected and downloaded updates and even play multiplayer games on Xbox Live. Microsoft has caught on to those early birds and has locked down the Xbox Live for the Xbox One to prevent players from playing till launch day While it is clearly not the customer’s fault, Microsoft will turn the Xbox One’s Live features back on when the console officially launches in North America on November 22nd in North America.
Neither Target or Microsoft had any comment about the situation.
