Aimed at those that spend a lot of time behind their keyboard, including software developers, writers and gamers, the new Cherry MX Board 6.0 will feature standard 102-key configuration with macros, full metal body with included magnetically attached palm-rest as well as red backlight.
Thinkcomputers.org had a chance to check out the keyboard during CES 2015 launch, and as expected, it will also feature 100 percent N-key rollover and new RealKey Technology which should reduce latency and register key presses much faster thanks to higher USB 3.0 bandwidth. The Cherry MX Board 6.0 will actually use an analog controller that should shorten the debouncing delay from 20ms, which is a standard for most keyboards on the market today, down to 1ms. The analog controller has yet another advantage as it does not feature ghosting, thus 100 percent N-key rollover.
According to Cherry, the new MX Board 6.0 should be available this Spring with a price tag of US $219 and a 3-year warranty.
