Porsche driverless car controlled by smartphone

Whatever next?

Chinese giant Huawei said it's the first smartphone maker in the world to use such a device to drive a car.

The firm claims that embedded artificial intelligence on its Mate 10 smartphone can turn a Porsche Panamera into a car that “understands” its surroundings.

The Road Reader project uses a Huawei designed chip while the software can “see” 1000s of different objects like cats and dogs.

Huawei will be showing the tech at the up and coming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week, with punters able to “test drive” the car.

You can see a vid all about it, here.
