Coming with a 24.5-inch TN panel with 1920x1080 resolution, the Asus VG258Q offers 144Hz refresh rate, a respectable maximum brightness of 400 cd/m2, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 170/160-degree (H/V) viewing angles and AMD FreeSync support. The refresh rate ranges from 40Hz to 144Hz via DisplayPort and 50Hz to 144Hz via HDMI input, and it also comes with a standard dual-link DVI-D port.
Although it is obviously a budget-oriented monitor, at least compared to Asus' ROG Swift and ROG Strix lineup, Asus did not equip it with a cheap stand usually found in that part of the market, so it got height, tilt, swivel, and pivot support as well.
It also comes with the usual Asus Extreme Low Motion Blur feature, as well as TUV Rheinland certification with flicker-free and Low Blue Light technology.
Unfortunately, we still do not have any idea regarding the price or the availability date but we expect it to hit retail/e-tail shelves soon at somewhere around US $300.
