Unlike the previously launched AOC Q3279VWF, which used a VA panel, the new AOC Q3279VWFD8 comes with a 31.5-inch IPS panel, thus providing better viewing angles, and according to AOC, a wider color gamut for increased color accuracy.
The 31.5-inch 8-bit+FRC IPS panel comes a 2560x1440 resolution, maximum brightness of 250cd/m2, 5ms GtG response, 1200:1 contrast ratio, 178-degree viewing angles, and a 75Hz refresh rate with support for AMD FreeSync. Unfortunately, the specification does not list the refresh rate frequency range. As it is based on an IPS panel, it does offer 88 percent NTSC and 98 percent sRGB color gamut coverage.
AOC equipped the with its standard sleek stand which offers only tilt adjustments and it does not support VESA mounting, which might be a big drawback for some buyers. It still comes with AOC's own Flicker-Free, Clear Vision, Low Blue Light and Game Color technologies. It also comes with HDMI, D-Sub, DVI and DisplayPort inputs.
The new AOC Q3279VWFD8 will be available as of this month with an MSRP of $249/€249/£219.
