According to DJI, the new Avata 2 is lighter than the predecessor, and also a bit shorter and wider, improving stability. When it comes to image quality, its 12MP 1/1.3" Super Wide angle camera will provide better dynamic range, providing better low-light images, and can shoot HDR video at up to 4K/60fps or slow-motion at 2.7K/120fps. The camera also gets a better tilt from -85 to 80 degrees. You get 46GB of internal storage, enough for up to 90 minutes of 1080p/60fps video.
DJI improved flying time to up to 23 minutes, and it now supports PD fast charging. It also comes with the new Two-Way Charging Hub, and it has a longer transmission distance, which is now 13km.
With the new DJI Goggles 3, you can get a great FPV experience, and these come with dual 1080p 700nits micro OLED screens, and even include passthrough mode, which should be great.
The DJI Avata 2 is already available and comes in a bundle that includes the drone, single battery, DJI Goggles 3, and the RC Motion 3, all for $999. For $200 more, you also get two batteries, a new Two-Way Charging Hub, and a sling bag. The drone itself is priced at $489.
