10 inches for Jobs’ Mob
Samsung is working on a revolutionary high resolution display designed specifically for tablets and it might even end up in Apple’s new iPad 3, along with new Samsung tablets.

The display boasts a 2560 by 1600 resolution, or WQXGA if you don’t mind tying your tongue into a knot like a boy scout. It is worth noting that the display delivers a pixel density of 300 pixels per inch, well within Apple’s Retina standard outlined last year.

The display is the first to utilize Samsung’s PenTile technology that promises to deliver a 40-percent drop in power consumption and improved display quality.

Samsung is planning to use the new display in its Galaxy Tab series, which is currently sporting 10-inch screens in 1280x800. However, if Apple were to go for the new screen, it might need a different version, probably in 2048x1536.
