Thinkpad and IdeaPad K1
Lenovo has now officially rolled out its first tablets, the IdeaPad Tablet K1 and the ThinkPad Tablet. The heart of both tablets is Nvidia's Tegra 2 dual-core chip and both are happily running on Android 3.1 Honeycomb OS.

The more consumer oriented IdeaPad Tablet K1 is a 264x13.3x189mm 750g heavy device with a 10.1-inch 1280x800 multi-touch capacitive screen. The rest of the specs include 1GB of memory, up to 64GB of flash storage space that is expandable by microSD card, front 2MP and rear 5MP cameras, 802.11bgn WiFi, Bluetooth, optional 3G, micro HDMI output and a 2-cell battery rated for up 10hrs of run time.

The more enterprise oriented ThinkPad tablet has a subtle design but makes up the looks with an IPS panel with pen input support and protected by Gorilla Glass. The specs are pretty much identical except for the fact that the ThinkPad model is a bit thicker at 14mm and features aGPS, USB 2.0 port, dock connector and a handful of business oriented features like SD card encyption.

The IdeaPad K1 should start to show up in retail/e-tail as of August with a starting price tag set at US $399 for the WiFi-only 16GB version. The ThinkPad will, of course, be a bit more expensive, starting at US $499 for the 16GB model, or US $529 in case you are going for the one with digitizer pen.

Both are already on pre-order here.
