CES 2012: Dual chip Intel and ARM ultrabook

We have had a chance to see one unique ultrabook so far at CES this year. It looks that ultrabooks are the new black, stealing a lot of attention from tablets this year. Lenovo's X1 hybrid is a quite an innovative machine that has two processors, the Intel i7 series and more interesting ARM based system on a chip with running an Android derivative.

The system on chip is based on Qualcomm 8600 series S4 chip and 16GB storage and it is enough for playing videos and pictures. You boot into windows and have some 5 hours battery life. If you are on a flight or want to watch video for a bit longer, you press the MMI button and boot in custom based Android media player interface and enjoy up to 10 hours battery life.

Lenovo uses a custom based Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, but there wont be support for applications or the Android Market. It is a multimedia feature only.

The big turn off is the price, starts at $1599. We did attach a demo video for you, below
