Apple loses to Microsoft Tablets

Karma bites

The fruity cargo cult Apple might have stolen the tablet idea from Microsoft but it seems that karma is biting back.

Now that no one actually can be bothered buying tablets any more, Redmond has managed to eclipse Apple’s tablet sales.

According to a report, “1010data Facts for Ecom Insights, January 2014 – October 2015” by the 1010data Ecom Insights Panel, Microsoft was the best-selling tablet maker in terms of online sales in October.

This was the first time that Jobs Mob didn’t lead the market and was in the middle of a period of heavy marketing by Apple for its new Surface-Pro knock off the iPad Pro.

Looking at the figures, Microsoft has been making steady progress in tablet market share but saw a huge spike in October with the release of the Surface Book and Surface Pro 4. Apple started its marketing to act as a spoiler but apparently it went no-where.

It seems that taken together the release of Windows 10 tablet and hybrid sales are causing a major headache for Jobs’ Mob.

Generally Apple maintains a healthy lead in terms of online tablet sales, but Microsoft is in a strong second place. Apple still has not got a proper hybrid product in the market so is being damaged by windows based machines.

Given that Microsoft has been loyal to the tablet concept for years before Apple jumped on the product and claimed to have invented it, we think that this latest news is a bit of karma.
