But the chipset will ship in Q3

Intel is still committed to ship its chipset in Q3 2007 and the first versions are becoming available at press time.

However the Intel's own X38 motherboard won't be available until Q4 2007.

Some vendors, such as Asus and Gigabyte, will struggle to launch their boards in late September, but the real McCoy comes in Q4.

X38 will be significantly faster than P35 and will bring some nice features such as dual PCIe 16x PCIe 2.0 slots for Crossfire only and Extreme DDR3 memory overclocking.
