In addition to Best Buy, a number of other retailers here in the U.S. are also dropping the price of the Wii console to $170.
Those other outlets include Target, GameStop, and Toys ‘R Us. We have been told that apparently these price drops have only taken place in the U.S., and it is expected that it will follow in other regions but they will first have to figure out what they are going to do.
The move down to $170 has not been officially announced or acknowledged by Nintendo. Still, our sources insist that Nintendo will be rolling the price of the Wii back to $150, which we hear will come in an announcement at E3.
Unless you need to have the console today, we suggest that you wait.
