Despite the fact that Beyond Good & Evil 2 is being worked on and has been in development for a long time now, word has reached us that a decision has been made not to wait till the next generation of consoles to release it.

Why would you wait till the next generation of consoles? Well, there is a lot more development to go on the title, and so much remains that it is unlikely that the game will be ready before the next generation of consoles is released. So, why not just go ahead and target the title for the upcoming next generation consoles?

So, with no releases for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, we now know of at least one launch title that we can look forward to seeing when the next Xbox 720 and PlayStation 4 are announced.
