New SSX to get demo before release

by on19 July 2011

Will apparently arrive far ahead of the game
With so many fans watching the development of the new SSX reboot title with so much suspicion, Electronic Arts is apparently looking to address the issue and get players on board for the release of the game. To do this, the company will be taking a slightly different approach.

According to SSX producer Sean Smillie, a demo of the rebooted SSX will arrive before the game’s actual release next year. Apparently, that is currently the plan. With an early release of the demo ahead of the game, the company is hopeful that they will be able to build on the excitement for the SSX reboot and get players excited about buying it.

In addition to confirming the early release of the demo, we have also learned that the “Deadly Descents” tag line for the game has been officially dropped. According to reports, it was determined that the tag line of Deadly Descents was too focused on the “Survive It” part of the game, and the racing and trick parts of the game were not being correctly represented. At least for right now the title will be called just plain SSX; and it is expected to be released this way when it arrives in January for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
