Battlefield 3 appears to be getting a 400-page book to go with the game’s release if pre-order information from book sellers Amazon and Barnes & Noble are correct. The October 25th release was written by the game’s producer, Patrick Bach and English novelist Andy McNab. (McNab is a former SAS operative and solider who writes under the Andy McNab pseudonym.)

It has been known for some time that McNab has been working in conjunction with DICE on Battlefield 3. It isn’t clear if the book is a novel that follows the single player campaign or book that focuses on the making of the game. We suspect, however, that with McNab’s involvement to lend authenticity to Battlefield 3 that it is more than likely a novel that is somehow based on the game.
