A tease from SEGA suggests that the company could be reviving its Daytona USA franchise for another run around the track. The tease is in the SEGA blog, and is part of a contest where the company asks readers to identify which classic franchise is returning.

In the video there really isn’t too much room for possibilities as the “Rolling Start!” theme from the 1993 Daytona USA is used as part of the video. Our reaction to the news is positive, but we have to wonder how Daytona USA is going to translate against the racing games of today. We will have to see what SEGA might have up their sleeve on this one.
