The upcoming firmware push that Nintendo had planned for the 3DS that was to become available on November 30th has been pushed back. The reason for the delay is unclear, but sources tell us that it is still planned for a simultaneous release across all territories starting on December 8th.
The new firmware will add 3D recording support as well as the new Mii Plaza games. Beyond telling 3DS owners that it needed more time to get the firmware ready for release, Nintendo has not explained the delay.
